Specially designed for use in public areas, the HeartSine samaritan PAD 360P is a sophisticated fully automatic defibrillator for adult or paediatric use, inside a lightweight and easy-to-operate system. The SAM 360P is a fully automatic defibrillator designed to analyse heart rhythm and automatically deliver an electrical shock (if needed). Its advanced technology is balanced against the demands of real-world use.

How to use the 360P

The SAM 360P also uses HeartSine ‘s practical Pad-Pak™, which incorporates the battery and electrodes in a quick to replace single-use cartridge meaning only one expiration date to monitor and only one item to replace after use. The SAM 360P is suitable for use on adults and children. For children younger than 8 years or weighing less than 25 kg (55 lbs), a Pediatric-Pak™ is available.

  • Free replacement Pad-pak after genuine use (conditions apply)
  • IP56 Dust and Moisture ingress protection – the highest in the industry
  • Metronome for correct speed CPR
  • Software updates via USB
  • Made in Ireland by the inventors of the first portable defibrillator

The HeartSine samaritan PAD 360P is a fully automatic external defibrillator (AED) that analyses the heart rhythm and delivers an electrical shock to victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest in order to restore the heart to normal rhythm. This user-friendly AED provides easy to follow visual and audio prompts to guide the rescuer through pad application. Shock delivery, if required, is fully automatic which means there is no shock button to press.

ARTG Intended Purpose A portable electronic device designed to automatically detect cardiac arrhythmias (ventricular fibrillation/pulseless ventricular tachycardia) in a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) patient, after which it automatically activates defibrillation of the heart through application of electrical shocks to the chest surface. It consists of an external pulse generator (EPG) with a cardiac rhythm recognition system and a pair of skin-adhesive electrodes to monitor the rhythm and deliver the shocks; it also includes a non-rechargeable battery for energy.
Summary Summary
Device category Device categoryWhat type of device this is (public access AED vs monitor/defibrillator). Helps match products to the intended setting and user training level. Public access AED
Waveform WaveformThe shock waveform design. Manufacturers tune waveforms for effectiveness across patient impedance while limiting tissue damage. SCOPE optimized biphasic escalating waveform - maintains shock effectiveness using lower joules
Max energy Max energyThe highest shock energy the device can deliver. Higher maximum energy can be relevant for difficult-to-defibrillate patients and escalation protocols. 200 J
Shock types Shock typesWhether the unit is semi-automatic (rescuer presses shock) or fully automatic (unit delivers shock). Fully automatic
Shock Shock
Time to first shock Time to first shockHow quickly a device can be ready to deliver a shock once it’s in use. Faster shock readiness can reduce delays in treatment. Charge time (typical): 150 J < 8 s; 200 J < 12 s
Energy protocol details - Adult Energy protocol details - AdultThe escalation sequence for shocks (adult). 150 J, 150 J, 200 J
Energy protocol details - PaediatricThe escalation sequence for shocks using either child mode, or separate child pads. 50 J, 50 J, 50 J
Configurable Energy ProtocolsEnergy protocol can be configured post-purchase. -
Rhythm analysis + parallel charge Rhythm analysis + parallel chargeHow the AED analyses rhythm and manages charging relative to CPR. Designs that reduce interruptions can improve CPR continuity. No: Charge time (typical): 150 J < 8 s; 200 J < 12 s
Pads are preconnected Pads are preconnectedWhether electrodes are stored preconnected/ready-to-pull. Reduces setup steps under stress and can save seconds. -
